Many developers, contractors, and municipalities utilize our expertise in design and permitting of basic infrastructure needs. These needs consist of water, wastewater, stormwater, and site grading for a variety of infrastructure development projects. Lamac also works with many architects and other engineers as part of the project team for total integrated infrastructure development.

Water Treatment and Distribution

Lamac Engineering is proud to be one of the leaders in the region in water supply development and rural water distribution. In Southern Illinois alone we have successfully completed the development of over 1,000 miles of rural water lines supplying potable water to over 3,000 households. Lamac works with many of the municipalities in the area for their water supply and treatment needs from basic maintenance to new complete system design.

Wastewater Treatment and Collection

Wastewater system rehabilitation is a growing industry as increasing environmental regulations are adopted and Lamac is prepared to meet these growing industry needs. Lamac has successfully completed several new treatment plants and has worked with many communities to reduce infiltration and inflow (I/I) in their collection systems.

Municipal, Commercial and Industrial Site Design

Most new building facilities and expansions require some level of site design usually consisting of parking and drive layout and grading, utility layout, and stormwater control. Lamac Engineering performs small site designs for retail developments all the way to large designs for schools, factories, and industrial parks.

Subdivision Design

Effective land use requires innovative design resulting well suited residential developments. Many of the residential subdivisions in the region have been designed by Lamac. Water, wastewater, stormwater, transportation, surveying, and site design all are essential components of subdivision design and Lamac can carry the complete project from start to finish.

Stormwater Management

Control of stormwater runoff has become more complicated in recent years with rules requiring almost any construction activity to acquire a stormwater NPDES permit and have a stormwater pollution prevention plan and erosion control plan in place. Lamac Engineering has experience in permitting and implementing cost effective erosion control programs.
